about
Qouleur is the second annual 2QTPOC-Montreal Festival. Qouleur celebrates racialized queer identities and experiences with an action packed week-long festival of art exhibitions, performances, workshops, music and love. If you liked 2QTPOC-Montreal last year, you'll adore us (and our new moniker) this year! Many of 2QTPOC's organizers are back for Qouleur this year, and many more friends have joined our ranks. Be one of them!
Running side-by-side with Fierté (Pride week) and Pervercité, Qouleur welcomes people of colour who self-identify as two-spirited, bisexual, gay, lesbian, queer or trans to connect, celebrate and be proud!
The 2QTPOC Festival last year was *the* place for racialized queers and their allies to come together and share their experiences and knowledge. Our diverse programming and events sparked an important dialogue about bringing visibility and awareness to 2QTPOC issues, creating safe spaces, and continuing to inspire each other. 2QTPOC laid some serious foundations within Montreal's LGBT communities, now it's time to get sweaty and see what we can build with Qouleur!
Who is Qouleur?
We are your friends, lovers, allies and cheerleaders. A grass-roots group of artists, performers, writers and political activists based in Montreal, Quebec who have decided to volunteer their time and energy to bring awareness of racialized queer identities and experiences to the wider public. We work to bridge the gaps between communities and create an open space for voices that all too often go unheard. Most of all, we want to have fun doing it!
